Huawei revealed HarmonyOS its Android alternative for smartphones and smart home devices. HarmonyOS is "via the distributed capability kit". Huawei's reveal provides an opportunity to examine how capabilities are fitted to a modern OS as well as examine how capabilities are being back-fitted into current nix based operating systems. We also wonder if Harmony OS will cause Google to accelerate Fuchsia OS. more
